"You [true believers in Islamic Monotheism, and real followers of Prophet Muhammad SAW and his Sunnah (legal ways, etc.)] are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin Al-Ma'ruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam has ordained) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden), and you believe in Allah. And had the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) believed, it would have been better for them; among them are some who have faith, but most of them are Al-Fasiqun (disobedient to Allah - and rebellious against Allah's Command)".
(Quran, 3:110)
The said community must be able to influence and lead the world based on truth and justice, and display a good example to all the rest. This is in line with God's proclamation that says "the community is the best of peoples that has been brought to mankind". To achieve this objective the community must firstly understand the faith and be proud of it's teachings.
Feeling proud or respectable with the belief sometimes is termed as izzah. Individuals who feel respectable with the belief (the religion) will be directional in life. He will ensure all his actions are based on al makruf (good deeds) and avoiding mungkar (bad deeds). In the Quran, verse 2:143 God has termed the peoples (the community) as ummatan wasotho via His command,
"Thus We have made you [true Muslims - real believers of Islamic Monotheism, true followers of Prophet Muhammad SAW and his Sunnah (legal ways)], a Wasat (just) (and the best) nation, that you be witnesses over mankind and the Messenger (Muhammad SAW) be a witness over you........ Truly, Allah is full of kindness, the Most Merciful towards mankind".
Wasotho means the best. Individuals proud with the belief (the religion) will build his being with characteristics based on the belief, and are fit to be world leaders.
