Segala Kebaikan Datang Daripada Allah SWT

Hadis ke-24 daripada koleksi hadis-hadis (Hadis 40) yang disusun oleh Imam Nawawi di dalam kitab karangannya yang bernama Matan Arba'in berbunyi:

Dari Abu Dzar Al-Ghafiri r.a, dari Nabi SAW yang meriwayatkan dari Tuhannya Allah Azzawajalla, bahawasanya Tuhannya telah berfirman :

" Wahai hamba-hambaKu ! Sesungguhnya aku telah mengharamkan penganiayaan atas diriKu, dan Aku jadikan haram di antara sesama kamu, maka janganlah kamu aniaya-menganiayai.

Wahai hamba-hambaKu ! Kamu sekelian sesat, kecuali siapa yang telah Aku berikan hidayat kepadanya. Maka hendaklah kamu minta hidayat daripadaKu, nescaya Aku akan memberi hidayat itu kepadamu.

Wahai hamba-hambaku ! Sekelian kamu lapar kecuali siapa yang telah Aku berikan makanan kepadanya, maka hendaklah kamu sekelain meminta makan daripadaKu, nescaya Aku akan beri kamu makan.

Wahai hamba-hambaku ! Sekelian kamu bertelanjangan, kecuali sesiapa yang aku berikan pakaian, maka mintalah pakaian daripadaKu.

Wahai hamba-hambaku ! Sekelian kamu membuat kesalahan pada waktu malam dan siang dan Akulah yang sahaja yang mengampunkan segala dosa. Maka mintalah keampunan daripadaKu, nescaya Aku akan mengampunkan segala dosa-dosa kamu.

Wahai hamba-hambaku ! Kamu sekelian tidak mampu merancang sesuatu mudharat untuk memudharatkan Aku, dan kamu tidak mampu merancang sesuatu menafaat untuk memenafaatkan Aku.

Wahai hamba-hambaku ! Jika sekiranya orang-orang yang terdahulu dan orang-orang yang terkemudian di antara kamu bersatu, samada dari jenis manusia atau jin, semuanya bertaqwa seperti taqwanya hati seorang manusia di antara kamu, nescaya yang demikian itu tidak akan menambahkan barang sedikit pun pada kerajaanKu.

Wahai hamba-hambaku ! Jika sekiranya orang-orang yang terdahulu dan orang-orang yang terkemudian di antara kamu bersatu, samada dari jenis manusia atau jin, semuanya berhati jahat seperti jahatnya hati seorang manusia di antara kamu, nescaya yang demikian itu tidak akan mengurangkan barang yang sedikit pun pada kerajaanKu.

Wahai hamba-hambaku ! Jika sekiranya orang-orang yang terdahulu dan orang-orang yang terkemudian di antara kamu bersatu, samada dari jenis manusia atau jin, semuanya berkumpul pada sebuah tanah lapang lalu masing-masing meminta padaKu, nescaya Aku akan memperkenankan kepada tiap-tiap seorang itu akan permintaannya, nescaya yang demikian tidak akan mengurangkan sedikit pun dari apa yang Aku miliki, melainkan seperti terkurangnya sebatang jarum yang jatuh ke dalam laut.

Wahai hamba-hambaku ! Sebenarnya semua itu adalah amalan-amalan kamu yang Aku catitkan bagi kamu sekelian, kelak di kemudian hari akan Aku balas atas tiap-tiap satu daripadanya. Oleh itu, barangsiapa menerima kebaikan hendaklah ia memuji Allah dan barangsiapa yang menerima sebaliknya janganlah ia mencela kecuali dirinya sendiri. "

Kebangkitan Rakyat Mesir : Saat sekutu Israel dijatuhkan oleh Allah

Mesir dikenali bukan kerana piramidnya. Ini kerana binaan yang menakjubkan bukan sahaja wujud di Mesir, tetapi juga di Indonesia dengan Candi Borobudur, di China dengan Tembok Besar, Patung Zues di Olimpia, Greek dan banyak lagi binaan-binaan lain di seluruh dunia. Bukanlah kemuliaan dan kehebatan Mesir di kehebatan binaan piramidnya yang lebih merupakan lambang kezaliman penguasa terdahulu terhadap rakyatnya di zaman tersebut.

Sesungguhnya kehebatan Mesir ialah kerana Universiti al-Azhar yang diasaskan pada tahun 970M. Itulah hebatnya Mesir. Bumi anbiya’ yang dipilih Allah SWT untuk menjadi tuan rumah kepada universiti tertua di dunia ini telah melahirkan generasi ulama terbilang yang bertebaran menyebarkan ilmu ke serata dunia. Atas kemuliaan ini, pemimpin Mesir sewajarnya terdiri daripada mereka yang mempunyai komitmen dengan Islam.

How The Muslim Deals with People

From Aishah (radhiyallah hu 'anhu) who said that a man sought permission to enter upon the Prophet pbuh, so he said:

Give permission to him and what a bad son of his people (or: what a bad man of his people). Then when he entered he spoke politely to him. Aishah said: So I said: O Messenger of Allah, you said about him what you said and then you spoke politely to him? He pbuh said: O Aishah the worst people in station before Allah on the Day of Resurrection are those whom the people desert, or abandon,, in order to save themselves from their evil speech.

So he treats a close friend in the manner befitting one for whom he has love... and he treats the clear enemy with caution and remains on his guard... and he treats the worst of people in a manner which does not make apparent to him what he thinks of him in his heart, and so on, each one is treated in the appropriate manner. This is from the knowledge necessary for giving dakwah, that he treats everyone in the manner befitting their varying inclinations and manners! It will also not be hidden that one of the best ways of cementing ties and improving relations is Visiting Brothers.

Hari Wilayah, Banjir, PRK Tenang dan RON97

Hari ini 1hb Feb 2011 ialah hari sambutan ulangtahun Hari Wilayah disambut di Kuala Lumpur (KL), Labuan dan Putrajaya, dan hari cuti umum di ketiga-tiga wilayah tersebut. KL menjadi Wilayah Persekutuan pada 1hb Feb 1974 dipisahkan dari Negeri Selangor. Labuan sebuah pulau di tepian Negeri Sabah, mengadap ke Laut Cina Selatan, telah menjadi Wilayah Persekutuan pada 16hb April 1984 manakala Putrajaya yang dulunya dikenali sebagai Prang Besar (sebuah kawasan estet di Dengkil Selangor) telah diisytiharkan sebagai WIlayah Persekutuan pada 1hb Feb 2001. Maka itu tarikh 1hb Feb setiap tahun diisytiharkan sebagai Hari Wilayah bagi ketiga-tiga wilayah tersebut walau pun Labuan sepatutnya menyambut "hari wilayah persekutuan"nya pada 16hb April...namun tidak mengapalah oleh kerana seluruh penduduk di KL, Labuan dan Putrajaya dapat bercuti pada hari ini dan bersantai di rumah atau ditempat-tempat peranginan bersempena dengan cuti umum panjang pada minggu ini.

Sebenarnya hari berkerja bagi ramai orang untuk minggu ini hanyalah pada hari Isnin 31hb Jan, malahan ramai pula mereka yang tinggal di KL, Labuan dan Putrajaya terutamanya yang mengambil cuti pada hari Isnin semalam dan pada hari Rabu 2hb Feb dan terus pergi bercuti selama satu (1) minggu bersempena dengan semua sekolah dan persekolahan ditutup selama satu minggu mulai hari Sabtu 29hb Jan hingga hari Sabtu 5hb Feb. Tentu seronok dapat bercuti lama dan beristirehat kerana pada hari Khamis 3hb Feb dan hari Jumaat 4hb Feb (dua (2) hari) pula ialah hari-hari cuti umum sempena Tahun Baru Cina 2011 menyambut ketibaan Tahun Arnab kaum tionghua. Jalanraya dan lebuhraya sudah penuh sesak sejah hari Sabtu lalu apabila ramai warga kota dan penduduk di Lembah Kelang dari kaum Cina, dan mereka dari lain-lain kaum juga, yang balik ke kampong masing-masing atau pergi menuju ke tempat-tempat peranginan seperti Port Dickson, Cameron Highlands dan lain-lain.

Hujan lebat yang telah turun tanpa henti, malah semakin lebat sejak dua hari lepas langsung tidak melemahkan semangat sesiapa pun untuk membuat perjalanan jauh samada memandu sendiri kenderaan atau dengan menaiki pengangkutan awam. Hujan yang turun sekejap lebat sekejap renyai juga menyebabkan ramai juga yang malas hendak ke mana-mana dan hanya dudok diam bersantai dirumah masing-masing. Namun bagi ramai ahli-ahli politik, penyokong-penyokong parti-parti politik, pemimpin-pemimpin politik, penggiat-penggiat pelbagai media cetak/elektronik/siber telah bertumpu ke dan berkampong di Tenang Labis Johor sejak dari 22hb Jan dulu lagi dimana telah diadakan Pilihan Raya Kecil (PRK) bagi DUN Tenang (N05). Pada beberapa hari permulaan berkempen cuaca di Labis memang baik dengan menyaksikan berbagai aksi kempen mengempen untuk memenangkan calun masing-masing dari parti BN (UMNO) dan dari parti PAS. Akan tetapi sejak tiga atau empat hari lepas hujan telah turun di Labis tanpa henti sehingga menyebabkan banjir pada hari pengundian PRK Tenang pada 30hb Jan (hari Ahad) sehingga menyebabkan berbagai haru-biru dan kekecohan dalam usaha kedua-dua belah pihak untuk mempastikan kemenangan calun masing-masing walau dengan apa cara juga pun, dan keadaan banjir yang terjadi secara mengejut telah sedikit sebanyak menjejaskan proses pengundian. Akhirnya calun BN (Azhar Ibrahim) berjaya memenangi PRK Tenang mengalahkan calun PAS (Normala Sudirman) dengan majoriti sebanyak 3707 undi (6699-2992) daripada 14,753 atau 71.8% jumlah pengundi yang telah keluar mengundi walau pun dalam keadaan banjir dan hujan lebat.

"Kekalahan PAS pada pilihan raya kecil Dun Tenang tidak seharusnya melemahkan semangat petugas-petugas Pakatan Rakyat kerana ia berlaku sebagaimana yang telah dijangka." kata Naib Presiden PAS, Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man.

Sehingga ke saat ini hujan masih lagi turun tanpa henti dan air semakin naik menyebabkan keadaan banjir berlaku di banyak kawasan dalm Negeri-Negeri Johor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan dan Pahang. Di Labis (termasuk Tenang) keadaan banjir sangat mengancam sehingga banyak rumah kediaman, tanaman dan haiwan-haiwan peliharaan terjejas oleh air banjir yang telah naik ke paras tinggi. Ramai petugas-petugas PRK Tenang dari luar masih terperangkap di sekitar Labis dan Segamat tidak dapat pulang walau pun PRK sudah dua hari berlalu.

Seramai 46,000 orang penduduk yang terjeas oleh banjir dilapurkan telah dipindahkan ke kawasan-kawasan (penempatan sementara) yang selamat manakala tiga (3) kematian akibat banjir dilapurkan setakat ini - seorang di Chaah, seorang di Johor Bahru dan seorang lagi di Jasin.

Akan tetapi kejadian banjir pada kali ini, yang lebih kurang sama seperti pada tahun 2006 lalu, tidaklah mengejutkan sangat orang ramai kerana kuasa Tuhan tiada siapa yang boleh menghalang, ianya juga merupakan satu rahmat buat manusia supaya lebih muhasabah diri dan menginsafi akan segala kesilapan yang mendorong kepada kemungkaran.

Lebih mengejutkan ialah tepat pada tengah malam ini, seluruh warga lebih dikejutkan dengan kenaikan harga petrol RON97 sebanyak 10 sen lagi menjadikan harga baru sebanyak RM2.50 sen se liter. sepertimana yang telah diumumkan oleh sumber pihak Kerajaan. Kenaikan 10 sen se liter harga RON97 ini dilaksanakan dalam masa hanya 24 jam selepas PRK DUN Tenang.sehingga telah menimbulkan pelbagai tanggapan dan persoalan terhadap pihak parti pemerintah misalnya adakah kenaikan harga RON97 ini satu hadiah kemenangan PRK Tenang untuk rakyat/pengundi yang telah memilih (dan memenangkan) calun parti berkenaan?

Harga RON97 pada 2hb Nov 2010 ialah RM2.15 se liter, kemudian naik pada 1hb Dis 2010 ke RM2.30 dan naik lagi pada 1hb Jan 2011 ke RM2.40 dan pada hari ini naik lagi ke RM2.50 se liter.

Pada ketika ramai warga yang menggunakan kenderaan di musim cuti panjang begini, kenaikan harga petrol RON97 memang menjejaskan sedikit sebanyak bajet perbelanjaan mereka, dan pastinya tidak akan membantu meringankan beban yang ditanggung oleh seluruh rakyat terutama yang berpendapatan kecil dan sederhana, malah menambahkan lagi kesempitan hidup apabila harga berbagai jenais barangan keperluan asas sudah semestinya akan turut naik secara mengejut seiring dengan kenaikan harga petrol RON97 bermula pada hari ini, Selasa 1hb Feb 2011...

Sungguh menghimpit kehidupan...

Devotion to the Religion of Islam

From Ka’b ibni Malik al-Ansari (radhiyallah hu ‘anhu) who said that Allah’s Messenger, Muhammad pbuh said: “Two hungry wolves let loose amongst sheep will not cause more harm to them than a person craving after wealth and status will do to his Religion”

(Hadis Sahih Bukhari)

So this is a very great example struck by the Prophet pbuh showing how the Muslim’s Religion is destroyed by craving after wealth and worldly status. It shows that the corruption to one’s Religion caused by this is no less than the destruction caused if two ravenous wolves were left to spend the night amongst a flock of sheep whose shepherd was absent, and they were free to slaughter and feed at will. So as is clear in such a state none of the sheep, except perhaps a few would survive the carnage caused by the two wolves. So Allah’s Messenger pbuh informed that a person’s craving after wealth and status will not cause less damage than the damage caused to the sheep by the two wolves. Rather the damage caused will either be the same, or greater. This shows that when a person craves after wealth and status not much of the Muslim’s Religion will remain unharmed, just as only a few of the sheep would escape the destruction caused by the two wolves.

So flee, may Allah have mercy upon you, from this mad craving after this world and its finery, and there is no salvation from that which has been destined for a person.

So he who wishes for salvation then let it be the case that his desire for his Religion is his foundation and guiding principle, if this is so then Allah will protect him and protect his Religion. Then from the comprehensive matters that should be known is How the Muslim Deals with People

"...That is instructed to whoever should believe in Allah and the Last day. And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out. And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah - then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a [decreed] extent." (Quran, 65:2-3)

Recall the enjoyment of sex

Elderly couples are urged to recall the enjoyment of sex.

Terengganu is providing sex education for the elderly, following newlywed sex courses and free honeymoons for couples in crisis, in an effort to curb rising divorce rates.

A recent seminar for elderly couples held in the state hoped to "bring back the joy of sex" and to show long-married couples how to get their partner's libido going again.

"Many elderly couples sleep in separate bedrooms and are not intimate. This is unhealthy as they can still have vibrant intimate relationships, especially with all kinds of therapy and health supplements available," the State's Family Development Foundation head Mohamad Shafaruddin Mustafa explained.

"Because of the lack of intimacy, the couples who are already in their twilight years, get more agitated and tense and this strains their marriage badly to the point of divorce.

"This can be avoided with tips on how to keep things exciting," he added.

Such courses are rare in Muslim-majority Malaysia where open discussions on sexual health are not encouraged.

However, with three out of every 10 marriages end in divorce in the state, state officials are trying to keep couples and families together with courses aimed at retaining and enhancing intimacy especially amongst adults and senior citizens.

Last year, the state's family development board organised a sexual relations course for newly-married couples, encouraging them to bathe together and use exotic fragrances to "arouse sexual desire."

The state government has also asked local cosmetics firms to introduce special perfumes for couples following complaints by some that they were divorcing because of routine sex and their partner's bad body odour.

In October last year, Terengganu offered to host a two-night "second honeymoon" for couples on the brink of divorce, providing a romantic holiday at one of the state's beach or island resorts where they could also undergo marriage counselling.

Shafaruddin could not say if the various schemes have helped reduce divorce rates but said the state would hold another 16 newlywed sex courses next year as the programmes have improved the level of intimacy among many couples.

Eid ul Adha (Feast of The Sacrifice) 2010

Today is the 10th of Zulhijjah in the year 1431 Hijri / the 17th of Nov 2010 AD and all Muslims (ie people of the Islamic faith) in Malaysia and some other countries are today celebrating the Eid-ul-Adha (or the Feast of the Sacrifice) in conjunction with the season of pilgrimage whereby Muslims who could afford will go to Mecca in Saudi Arabia to perform the Haj (the obligatory pilgrimage) which is the 5th pillar of Islam.

Elsewhere such as in Saudi Arabia and most Middle East countries, the Eid-ul-Adha was celebrated yesterday Tuesday the 16th of Nov 2010, because Monday the 15th of Nov was declared the day of the "wukuf" at the Arafah plain (or field). The Eid-ul-Adha must rightly fall on the day after the "wukuf".

After the sun rises on the 9th Zulhijjah, pilgrims clad in their Ihram (the one-piece white cloth attire) would converged on the ‘Arafah plain for the Wukuf [Grand Assembly]. The wukuf in ‘Arafah is a major pillar of the Hajj. As such the Prophet Muhammad SAW stressed: "Hajj is [the assembly at] ‘Arafah."

The duration for the wuquf begins from the start of the Zuhur Prayer time on 9th Zulhijjah until the fajar (dawn) of 10th Zulhijjah. It is valid to stay for any portion of time within that period. The Prophet SAW stayed in ‘Arafah until the sunset of 9th Zulhijjah and proceeded to Muzdalifah, after the Fajar (dawn) prayer and then moved to Mina arriving before sunrise on 10th Zulhijjah.

At 'Arafah one may conduct jamak for the Zuhur (noon) and ‘Asar (late noon) prayers, joining them at the time of Zuhur if possible to qasar, that is shortening each of them to two raka'ats.

It is of a great benefit at ‘Arafah, one to be preoccupied with continuous dzikir, tasbih, do’a, and seeking for Allah's forgiveness as the Day of ‘Arafah is a very blessed day. 'A'ishah r.a. (the Prophet's wife) narrated a Hadith that the Prophet SAW said:

“There is no day in which Allah frees a greater number of His servants from the Hellfire than the Day of ‘Arafah. Allah comes close to His servants and boasts about them to the angels then asks (a rhetorical question): "What do these servants seek for?"

The Prophet SAW also said, that the best supplication is that made on the Day of ‘Arafah, and the best thing that I and other Prophets before me said:

"Lailaha Illallahu Wahdahu Lasyari Kalah, Lahul Mulkuwalahul Hamdu Yuhyi Wayumiit, Wahuwa ‘Ala Kulli Syai'in Qadeer."

(There is no God but Allah. He has no associate. To Him belong the Sovereignty and all the Praise. He has the sole power over everything.)

Some pilgrims do not recite the Talbiyah aloud on their way from Mina to ‘Arafah. It was proven that the Prophet SAW continued to recite the Talbiyah until he threw the pebbles of Al-‘Aqabah on the day of 'Eid.

One of the most serious mistakes that some pilgrims normally commit is to stop outside `Arafah and then stay there until the sun sets, after which they leave for Muzdalifah. Those who stay in these places have not performed Hajj. There are big and clear signs showing the boundaries of ‘Arafah.

Some people think that they have to go to the place where the Messenger of Allah SAW stood is holy, so they would converge there and climb it and seek blessings from the stones and soil around it. These are indeed wrong and unacceptable and regarded as bida’ah (innovations in religion).

Some people thought that it is essential to pray Zuhur and ‘Asar prayers with the imam in the mosque, seeking that place from far away. This can cause them a great deal of difficulty and leading many of them to go astray, which makes the Hajj extremely difficult for them, and they crowd one another and upset one another.

After spending some time in ‘Arafah, preferrably from Zuhur till Maghrib (dusk) prayers, pilgrims leave for Mina through Muzdalifah. One may perform Jamak and qasar for Maghrib and 'Isyak (night) prayers.

On the way from ‘Arafah, pilgrims will continue to recite the zikir to Allah SWT to seek His forgiveness.

On reaching Muzdalifah pilgrims would pick up enough pebbles for throwing at the three Jamarats. In Muzdalifah, pilgrims may sleep till dawn. This is the Sunnah of the Prophet SAW. However, according to some scholars due to the throng of people at Muzdalifah one can leave after midnight.

Muzdalifah is an open area without any shelter or tents there. Pilgrims must be ready with blankets or sleeping bags; these will prove very useful, especially if the night is cold.

Wukuf on the 'Arafah plain is meant to commemorate the landing of Prophet Adam and his wife, Eve on the Earth from the Heavens after Adam defying the Commands of Allah SWT and they both being duped by the devil (iblis) into doing sinful acts forbidden by Allah SWT.

Prophet Adam and Eve were separated on the Earth and it took them 40 years to meet again. And the place where they both met again was at a place called Jabar Rahmah on the 'Arafah plain. It was here that they both for many years supplicated to Allah SWT for forgiveness, and Allah SWT accepted their invocations/supplications.

It is understood that the Wukuf at 'Arafah means briefly stopping on the wide plain, staying there under humid condition and hot sunshine. Pilgrims are encouraged to make as much as possible zikir, supplementary prayers (solat sunat), reciting the Quran, supplicate and make invocations to Allah SWT, and those not performing the Hajj are also encouraged to do likewise at their own respective places. It is also encouraged to do fasting on the 'Arafah day.

Supplicating/invocating on the 'Arafah plain is said to be greatly enhance the acceptance and granting by Allah SWT (among the places and time where/when supplications is duly fulfilled).

Wukuf at 'Arafah presents an impression of the actual situation on the Day of Reckoning on the Mahsyar plain where all human beings irrespective of race, ranks and/or position will be rounded up/assembled to face Allah SWT and accept his retribution/reckoning based on their "amar makruf nahi mungkar" (encourage good deeds reject the evils) on Earth.

The Eid-ul-Adha, similar to the Eid-ul-Fitri prayers is performed in two rakaats, and is not obligatory upon every person but voluntarily and supplementarily performing it earns "bonus marks" from Allah SWT. After performing the Eid-ul-Adha prayers together (in a congregation) in a mosque or surau (mini mosque) such as is commonly practised in Malaysia, the imam (congregation/prayer leader) will then deliver the khutbah (sermon), reading a standard pre-written text issued by the State Islamic Department/Council.

Later in the day, a couple of hours or so after the Eid-ul-Adha prayers the main commemorative event of this Eid will normally be performed, i.e. the slaughtering of sacrificial animal(s) such as camel, cow, goat, sheep or buffalo, and feasting together at the mosque or surau as well as distributing the slaughtered meat to the poor and the needy by sending it to their respective houses/homes.

The loud calling of or takbir of "Allah hu Akbar" will continue until a few days after 10th Zulhijjah, and may even extend for one whole month, acknowledging the His Greatness, unlike on the Eid-ul-Fitri when the takbir can only be called out loud until the moment just before the Eid-ul-Adha prayers is performed, and forbidden to be shouted out after the prayers.

Allah SWT Commanded: "That they may witness things that are of benefit to them (i.e. reward of Hajj in the Hereafter, and also some worldly gain from trade, etc.), and mention the Name of Allah on appointed days (i.e. 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th day of Zulhijjah), over the beast of cattle that He has provided for them (for sacrifice) (at the time of their slaughtering by saying: Bismillah, WAllahu-Akbar, Allahumma Minka wa Ilaik). Then eat thereof and feed therewith the poor who have a very hard time." (Quran 22:28)
